Animals in the snow

This card is my take on animals in the snow, I thought I would use some of my Kanban stamps that I ahd not sued very much. To start this card I used a 6x6 card for the base, I then used a backing paper and layered it on the base leaving a small border. I placed fine line peeloffs around the edge of this layer of paper. I then made a smaller matt with the same backing paper and layered it onto some holographic card. My next layer is again holographic card and using an embossing folder with some blue pearl card embossed the design for the top part of the next layer. I then tore white card to make the hill shapes and placed these and the blue embossed design onto the smaller matt. I then stamped my images and coloured them before adding to my card, to finish I used glitter on the hills.

Transport

This card was quite simple one to make. Using a landscape Dl card for my base card I inked a smaller piece of white card and used as my first layer. Then I embossed a piece of core' dinations card before sanding to get extra texture, before layering onto my base card I attached bakers twine threaded through a wooden embellishment for added dimension. I stamped my car image onto white super smooth card and layered it onto some silver mirror card before placing it onto my card.

Teddy's galore

This card was for an order from a friend, who wanted a card with pink and teddie bears. I am also using this card as my sample for the MTTC "more than one fold" challenge. The card itself  is just 1 sheet of card, for the stand I scored 1", 2", 3", 5", 6" and 7" and trimmed at the 8" mark. The other part of the card was used to make the two panels, trimmed to size depending on what you are embellishing with. The images are digi images which I coloured the teddies and lettering before cutting out. I decided to just trim the large teddie and round of the corners then placed it onto some pink card to contrast. The smaller teddies I trimmed down leaving a small white border. After decorating the two pieces of card I put everything together by placing the first piece of card before the first score line and then stick the last score section to the back of this,  then added the other piece of card to the back. All that was left to do was to add all the embellishments.

Floral bouquet

I made this card for a sample for MTTC black, white and one other colour challenge over on their blog. This card is an A5 base card and was very simple to make. I recently bought the craft geek which allows you to punch accurately around the page. I will admit it took me a few attempts but I got there in the end. My chosen extra colour for this sample is jade. As you can see I stamped a border onto a piece of smooth card and before layering it onto my base card I used a spectrum noir pen which would contrast with the jade card used to ink around the edges, I also added my ribbon at this point. After doing my first layer I used one of my Spellbinder dies (labels twenty) to cut my second layer, I used a fine line pen to add a stitching effect. I then used a floral stamp for my image and coloured it with the same pen and other tones of the same colour used earlier. I cut out my image leaving a small border and then using foam pads placed it onto my die shape, I also used foam pads to layer it all onto my base card. To finish I added a few tiny gems for sparkle.
This card is also entered into Tuesday Alchemy challenge.

Sweet 16

My daughter wanted a card for a friend who was going to be 16, she asked me for something special and in blue. This is what I came up with, my daoughter loved it so hope her friends does too. I started off with an 8x8 card, I then started to make my matts. Firstly I chose some pale blue card and layered it with paper  from one of my Nitwit collections as always leaving a small border. I then used two contrasting papers from the same collection to create smaller matts, layering onto the same blue card used for the large layer. It is hard to see in this picture but I did ink the edges of all the layers with distress ink. Once I had placed the two smaller matts onto the larger one I then made a decorative border using one of Martha Stewart's punches, this was then layered onto blue card. I added ribbon to my border before mounting it onto the other layers then placed the whole thing onto my base card. The image used is a digi image sorry don't rememebr where I got it, I coloured using spectrum noir pens. To make the flowers I used a two Marriane dies and before removing from the die I inked them with the same distress inks I used on the edges of the card. I then stamped out the numbers from my Dimension stamps onto one of the papers used in one of the matts. To finish I added the flowers, a bow and a few gems. This card is my sample for MTTC Milestone Birthday blog challenge

Potted plant

Morning all, it is wet and miserable here today hope the weather is better where you are. My card today is an A5 base card and to start with I printed two backing sheets from the Nitwit collection Petal fresh. The first sheet I trimmed to size leaving a small border, before putting it on my base card I inked the edges with forest pine distress ink. With the piece of green backing paper left I cut into two and again inked the edges before placing onto my card. I then used one of my dies with the other backing paper and inked the edges with frayed burlap distress ink. I stamped my sentiment onto the same paper as my die shape and then after inking the edges I placed it onto my die shape before placing it onto my card. The flower pot I stamped is one from Jane Shasky range I coloured this with spectrum noirs, still not very good at colouring but I enjoy it and hopefully will get better with lots more practise. I then trimmed by image leaving a small border and used foam pades to add it to my card. To finish I stamped and coloured the little flowers from the set and added a few gems.
