Especially for you

Hello, today I am posting a card that I have made for MTTC new challenge "Things with wings"
My base card is 6x6 and my first layer is a backing paper from my stash, my second layer is a contrasting paper which I inked the edges before placing on my card. I then used a die shape to cut out the white layer, then drew around the die to create a faux layer in blue. The butterfly is also a die which I placed onto silver mirror card and trimmed. To finish I added a sentiment, brads and peel offs.
Thank you for taking the time to view my blog, any comments are appreciated x

Sketch

My MTTC design team sample for today is a simple stamped image using a stamp set from Dimensionstamps. The theme for the MTTC challenge this week is a "sketch". I started with a 6x6 card, for my first layer I stamped the background from the set a couple of times. I then used this to cut a die shape, I coloured the edge with ink before placing on my card. My second layer I used a smaller die from the same set and stamped out my image, I also inked the egdes of the shape. Before layerying this layer to my card I stamped out the word Chic, also from the stamp set and placed this at the back of this layer. To finish I stamped out the bow and cut two corners and placed on the card.

In the spotlight

My post for today is a card using a technique I hadn't used before. Once I had looked into how it was done it was really easy, definitly something I will do again. My card is a sample for MTTC blog.
I started with a piece of A4 card which I folded to make and A5, I used one of my dies to create the shape. I also used the die to create my first layer out of a pretty backing paper I had in my stash. I then used a smaller die from the same set, cut and embossed. I used one of my spectrum noir pens to colour the edge, and stamped out my image to make up my second layer. I then stamped my image again and using a small circle die I cut a section and coloured it. To finish my card I placed the circle cut out into place and added peel offs for decoration.
